Digital devices, like smartphones, tablets and smart TVs have hooked some kids so much that their outdoor playing time has greatly decreased, according to some news article I read.
While it seems that our advancing technologies have made it possible for more, younger people to enjoy the digital fun, it is sad that people, including me, are spending more and more time looking at screens.
I feel it especially dangerous for kids. For kids that spend more time indoors enjoying flashy programs on screens, rather than running, jumping and playing in real nature — on the playground, under the sun — they may grow up appreciating the great natural environment less.
I think it’s important for parents to take the responsibilities to maintain the balance between indoor and outdoor activities for kids.
